About us

Created in 2000 in Barcelona by Ferran Mitjans and Oriol Armengou, Toormix is a mix of a brand consultancy, a design studio and a digital creative agency.
We use strategic thinking and design to create innovative brand experiences across physical, digital or spatial media with a clear focus on user needs, as well as understanding business challenges and objectives. We work for national and international clients, large and small, with whom we build a mutual relationship of trust and professional respect. Our more than 25 years of experience in all types of projects and disciplines, together with our team and network of specialists and external collaborators, allow us to face any challenge.
OUR TEAM

Oriol Armengou
Founding partner of Toormix, he has a degree in Advertisement and later in Graphic Design at Bau. He has more than 25 years of professional experience in the sector and is also a visiting professor and lecturer.
He is a photography fanatic with a special interest in walls, windows and empty spaces, has been to almost every edition of Sónar, has an interesting collection of robots from the 80s and a lot of plants that are endangering the stability of his terrace.

Ferran Mitjans
Founding partner of Toormix, he has a degree in Graphic Arts and later in Graphic Design at Bau. He has more than 25 years of professional experience in the sector and is also a visiting professor and lecturer.
He loves to get lost in concerts and festivals, DJ sets and theatres, travel to where jetlag hits the hardest, and fill his mobile phone with photos of walls, textures, food, bottles of wine and his cat Mercu. with photos of walls, textures, food, bottles of wine and his cat Mercu. If you’re looking for a place to grab a vermouth, eat or drink a couple of wine glasses, he’s your mate, although you’ll probably catch him riding his bike, rowing along Barcelona’s coastline or climbing a wall.

Luciano Fasan
Graphic designer trained at the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (Resistencia). His profile is clearly focused on branding and typography, converging diverse worlds: calligraphy, lettering and illustration. He has worked in several studios and agencies in Buenos Aires and Barcelona until he arrived at Toormix, where he combines manual and digital techniques. In his free time he likes to paint and can get stuck for hours in front of a piece of paper. He is a devotee of letters, scribbles and a mate cup as a good Argentinian (although perhaps not so much as he doesn’t accomplish the words per minute ratio).

Marta Company
Motion and web designer trained in Design at Goldsmiths University in London, with a previous studies in fine arts. After working as a web designer specialised in interaction in London, she returned to Barcelona in searching for the sun lost in the UK and a nice terrace. Self-defined as a ‘ proper otaku’, she is interested in everything that has to do with the world of anime and manga. She divides her leisure time between attending music festivals and concerts and staying at home painting with her cat Rayo around.
Laura Campos
Galician designer graduated from UDIT (Madrid) and specialized in Editorial Design at Elisava (Barcelona). What was supposed to be an eight-month stay in Barcelona has already turned into four years, although she’s absolutely certain she would live in Vigo for the rest of her life. Passionate about sports, which she practices almost daily, she also collects magazines and books, and has curated a list of over 200 design bookstores she wants to visit around the world. In her free time, she takes courses in animation, 3D, or design, and is always involved in some experimental project that likely involves animating or scanning objects.

Ricard Sistach
Graphic designer trained at BAU with a focus on branding and image. His interests mainly revolve around brand design and editorial layout, though his restless personality has led him to develop skills in various fields, including illustration, photography, and fashion design. He loves producing photographic campaigns and kitsch images with his drag persona, Stella Leah. In his free time, you can find him oil painting, editing a photoshoot, or sewing his tenth corset.

Imma Padilla
Creative director, storyteller and copywriter, she has been working in advertising for more than 25 years. Her experience in several multinational agencies, in as many small agencies and as a team member in the launching of products together with the client, allows her to be halfway between marketing and content design. She is particularly interested in communication that improves society’s perception of itself: sustainable projects, social responsibility actions or products that pursue social welfare. In the past, she loved to travel. Now, if she is not in Barcelona, she is in Greece.

SELF-INITIATED PROJECTS
We are a restless and non-conformist team and we are passionate about getting involved in projects that are aligned with our methodology, interests or that help to create culture around design. Here are the projects we have been working on:

House of Chappaz
House of Chappaz is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2021 from the merger of Espai Tactel (2011) and Espai Tactel Toormix (2018), an exhibition project created with the aim of leading the contemporary avant-garde. Based in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, and representing more than twenty artists, it seeks to offer exhibitions that incorporate new talent, coherent discourses, experimentation, and collaborations within the sector, while maintaining a strong commitment to risk and innovation.

AI Lab
A dedicated research and experimentation initiative within Toormix, created to explore new systems, methodologies, techniques and applications of artificial intelligence, integrating them into the studio’s daily practice. The laboratory focuses on generative models, AI-driven tools and creative processes, studying how these technologies can enhance design thinking, visual development and strategic branding. While most research takes place internally, some of the more visual and animated experiments are shared on Instagram (@aixperiments) and LinkedIn, offering a glimpse into the studio’s ongoing exploration of design and technology.
