We are very excited to inform you that in August 2020 Toormix will celebrate 20 years! Two decades full of stories, projects and people that have made us grow, learn and continue to evolve. Two economic crisis and a global pandemic have not brought us down, but have helped us to continually re-invent ourselves. We have explored new ways of approaching to our profession, we have questioned methods and we have looked for new ways to meet the needs of our clients without ever losing our original essence: a job well done with honesty, proximity and the interest in making projects grow from a broad and strategic vision. Our understanding of design goes beyond the mere visual value. Design is a fundamental tool to innovate in all aspects.
A design studio project that was created with the desire to do things the way we thought they should be done, fairly in all aspects and trying to be human beings rather than business people.
Throughout these years we have been involved in parallel projects such as organising two editions of a design festival focused on innovation (Design is Future). We are also partners in the restaurant Bicnic and we opened the Barcelona branch of the Espai Tactel art gallery in Valencia, which in just over a year of existence has firmly positioned itself in the cultural circuit of Barcelona.
Twenty years have passed and we continue to work with the same enthusiasm as on the first day, without losing our initial motivation despite the many global changes and trying never to lose the essence with which we devised Toormix. A studio project created with the will to do things as we believed they had to be done, fairly in all aspects and trying to be people rather than businessmen, a design studio characterised by honesty and transparency, but also by showing respect for the client, the workers and our profession. All this has probably made our path more difficult and laborious, but it is our way of being and we like to go to sleep calm every day. Only through respect, involvement and responsibility can we design projects in the best possible way.
2020 is showing us that we will have to continue rowing hard, but for us it will also be a year of new ideas, new projects, reinventions and new collaborations that we will be announcing soon. And we hope that, in a short term, we will be able to celebrate with all of you these 20 years, which well deserve a huge party. Stay tuned.
We would like to thank all those people who are or have been part of the team, clients or collaborators and thanks to all the people who follow us and support us. We will meet again after a short break in August with even more strength and renewed energy.
